1. Skipping breakfast
Many people are fond of skipping breakfast especially when they are late for work or when rushing to school. Nutritionists advise that this is wrong as it disrupts your metabolism causing you to burn fewer calories.
Others might think that skipping breakfast would make them lose more weight but actually, skipping breakfast is not a good idea as it could make you take too many snacks throughout the day.
2. Eating late at night
There is also a group of people who are fond of eating late at night. People who get home late due to traffic jams in cities like Nairobi take their meals late into the night
According to nutritionists, eating close to bedtime might result in difficulty in sleeping since the body is busy digesting food.
3. Eating insufficient proteins, fats and carbohydrates
When the body is fed with insufficient proteins, it finds it impossible to control blood sugar levels.
For the case of fats and carbohydrates, too little of these nutrients means less energy. However, do not take too many fatty foods as this can be unhealthy.
